Revenant Dead's Imperial Rape March suffers from a few problems, yet these do not make it guilty of being bad metal. The first problem is the name of the album. It's not that original, nor does it seem that intelligent.

What restores this album is the gothic touches found in the vocals. This is not what is usually thought of when the word 'gothic' is used. it is not female fronted, operatic music. It is a deeper male voice, in the line of Type O Negative or Thanatos.

With this vocal style established, they mix in elements of technical death metal and black metal. This then tips the scale back towards the problematic, as some of the metal seems not fully developed. This band has uniqueness, but has it weaknesses in the music

Overall, a good release, but not something that I would listen to all the time. This band, however such mature and create metal worth listening to over and over again.
