Yet another eclectic
release from The End, Agua de Annique is female-fronted rock that has glimpses of something heavier. At moments, there are
the familiar chug of a guitar, or gallop of the strings. But to characterize this as metal is wrong. But unlike most female-fronted
bands, this is not Gothic nor is it quite indie-rock. It is nice to hear a band
with a touch of heaviness that is not trying to be a Lacuna Coil or a Nightwish. Agua de Annique is forging their own ground,
yet they are not really breaking any new ground. You are Nice and Come Wander are the stand-out tracks, as some of the others
seem to be too close to the same. The only real flaw in this disc is the length. It should not have been 13 tracks. It would
have been much more enjoyable at 9 or 10, though the last half of the disc is more enjoyable then the first.
