On this disc, Ascension Theory attempts to answer a question I did not ask. My question is, why more progressive metal that
seemingly sounds the same as a multitude of other bands? This is not to say that this album is bad. It is to say that it seems
generic and almost devoid of energy, of life. It is standard fare, which is alright. Yet, in this saturated market, I want
something more, and Answers fails to give me that. It's good prog, but that's it. It has all the elements: guitar solos, ballads,
even an instrumental. These are all well played, but do not stand out.
