Prototype plays a good blend of progressive metal and thrash, much like a Nevermore. Prototype seamlessly blends these two
into a well-crafted album. They keep things interesting by changing the pace quite often, and keep the riffs coming and going,
changing keys and time signatures as they wish. In the end, it sounds really well done. My only problem is the vocals, which
are a lower-end melodic singing voice. I would like to hear more a raspy voice with this, or something that is completely
different from the darker, edgier music like a classic power metal voice. As an added bonus, the opening track was put on
the video game Guitar Hero III, showing the level of talent present. Though, I think that the stand out tracks are Transcendent
Velocity, Seed and Heart Machine. All would be worthy of multiple listens, and maybe attempts to play.
